The Annual Plum Blossom Kung Fu Exhibition

The 2nd annual Plum Blossom kung fu exhibition at Mercy High School of San Francisco, California April 24, 2004 The exhibition began at 3:30 PM and finished at 5 PM. Besides Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong performed the Yang tai chi fast form, free style of pushing hand and the Choy Li Fut Golden Dragon Fan form, his son Sifu Jason Wong performed Choy Li Fut's unique Nine Dragon Trident, which was the first time ever in public. From San Diego, Sifu Nathan Fisher showed the Choy Li Fut Five Animal Form and his student Sifu Don Tittle with his student Sifu Ming Lau performed the two man fighting hand form and the sword vs. spear form. Sifu Jaime Marquez from Santa Cruz demonstrated some self defense techniques and the Ping Kuen hand form. Sifu David Dong showed the advanced hand form Bok Mo Kuen. Sifu Alan Hubbard performed the rare weapon, the farmer's hoe. His school from Sacramento did dragon and lion dancing. From Concord, Sifu Evelina Lengyel did the Small Plum blossom Staff and the fighting skit show. The Hung Sing Cross Pattern Hand form was performed by Sifu Humayan Zai from Reno, Nevada. More head instructors performed advanced Choy Li Fut and Tai Chi forms, they are Munzer Dajani, Marilyn Bonney, Zach Ma, Roe Tyler and Miriam Marsolais. Over 20 instructors from the above schools performed advanced Choy Li Fut hand and weapons forms and funny skits to entertain the audience. |
