March 2005 Seminar in Rome

Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong was invited to Italy to teach choy li fut and
tai chi chuan by the Xiao Mei Hua Kung Fu Schools of Italy hosted by head
instructor, Sifu Roberto Fasano and his wife Simona. Doc-Fai Wong arrived in
Rome on March 18, 2005. The grand seminars for students were taught on March
19 and 20. Subjects were: choy li fut fighting techniques, chin-na (joint
locking) techniques and pushing hands. For choy li fut forms, Grandmaster
Wong taught the Siu Hung Kuen, Siu Jin Kuen, Siu Pau Kuen and Siu Jit Fu
Kuen. For tai chi, Grandmaster taught the 8 steps and the 16 steps forms, he
also taught the tai chi Plum Blossom Fan form. During the other days, forms
for the instructors training program included Dai Hung Kuen, Siu Bot Gwa
Kuen, Golden Dragon Fan, Siu Mui Fa and Siu Bin Gwai staff forms. For tai
chi during the instructors training program, he taught the Yang 40 form and
the 32 steps tai chi sword form. Students, instructors and Sifus came from
Spain, Germany and many different parts of Italy. Aside from the training
and teaching, Grandmaster Wong was accompanied by the instructors to go
sight seeing and dining in Rome and Tivoli. Grandmaster completed the trip
on March 28, 2005.
