Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong
was invited by the Philippine Ling Nam Athletic Federation to do seminar on
traditional Yang Tai Chi in Manila on July 2, 2004. During his seminar
he explained the traditional way of practicing tai chi comparing it to the
contemporary tai chi training methods. Grandmaster Wong
also demonstrated some traditional Yang tai chi forms such as the fast
form, the tai chi straight sword, tai chi saber and the Plum Blossom tai
chi fan as well. He opened a challenge to the students, instructors and the
spectators for pushing hands. He demonstrated the eight men powerful
push against him and also tore a local telephone book in
half for his exhibition at the end of the seminar. The entire event
attracted over 200 people participated in the new location of the Ling
Nam clubhouse.
The leaders and instructors of the Ling Nam Federation also arranged
the media to interview him and took him to visit the Filipino Chinese
Amateur Athletic Federation and The Philippine Wushu Federation
Headquarters during his visit from July 1 to 4, 2004.
Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong was invited by the Tai Chi Chuan Associations in Manila, Philippines on August 6, 2003
to do a seminar on traditional Yang Tai Chi and demonstrated the Yang Tai Chi fast form, Yang straight sword,
Yang Tai Chi saber and the Tai Chi Wind Chasing fan form. He opened to the local instructors to practice free
style push hand with him and multi pushing and free style attacking push as well to the general public to test
his abilities
